The Chicago Bears: Return to Decatur
The Staley Museum is excited to announce that the Chicago Bears will hold a “Return to Decatur” event in Decatur on July 20-21 to celebrate the team’s origins as part of the centennial season.

Saturday July 20
6-9 pm Open House
6:30 pm Public presentation at the Staley Museum (under the big tent) about the history of the Decatur Staleys football team, as told by local historian Mark Sorensen. Learn More
Free admission in lieu of donations.
Light refreshments will be available.
Our new/updated sports room will be open.
Sunday July 21
Public event at the Decatur Civic Center
11 am-2:30 pm Free outdoor family-friendly activities including Staley Da Bear, Chicago Bears Drumline, mobile Pro Shop, and football toss, as well as concessions and merchandise for purchase.
3-5:30 pm Ticketed indoor presentations – LIMITED NUMBER OF TICKETS AVAILABLE.
• Chicago Bears Centennial Scrapbook Panel with Hall of Fame writer Don Pierson and Bears Chairman George H. McCaskey.
• Season Preview Panel with General Manager Ryan Pace and Head Coach Matt Nagy.
12-4 pm Staley Museum Open House
